Aquarian Living

Just read a short bio on Steve Jobs. Probably need to read the entire book just published.

An interesting fellow. I suspected he exhibited Aquarian Consciousness, but am not so certain now.

I can usually tell, by the quality of thought and how it is expressed. Jobs had a unique ability to see the potential applications of various technologies. In that sense he was a visionary.

At the same time, he was not always a kind person, for he had personal issues that were unresolved.

Do not mistake me. An Aquarian can have plenty of personal issues. And most do.

A common trait of the true Aquarian is to have the ability to see the world from a level of abstract principles. This can be difficult to see, at times. The innovation Jobs achieved a Apple suggests such a perspective – other aspects of his behavior do not.

A conclusion is that it is not a definitive line that denotes Aquarian vs Aquarian-Piscean consciousness.

The transition from one to the other can be gradual and spotty. All I can guess is that Steve Jobs was dipping his foot in Aquarian consciousness.

It is not always ours to know.

It’s what everyone wants. We all feel that to be living a purpose is important, energizing and fulfilling.

Maybe so. I can’t argue with the desire to experience those qualities. Far better than trudging along, trying to eke out an existence.

This is why it has been helpful for those who wanted a spiritual life to go to a retreat or other location, that is focused on this endeavor.

But not to worry. Trying assuming you are exactly where you need to be. This gives you a leg up.

How wonderful to have the awareness and interest to even think about a purpose.

What I find daunting about the search for purpose is that people seem to make it so difficult. Then they wonder if they have it right. Then, what happens if I don’t preform.

Too much stress. I prefer to think about being on a mission. After all, a mission has a beginning and an end, right? So, it’s not the end of the world if this one mission is not perfect. We have another shot at the next one.

Yes, I know we are playing psychological games with ourselves, but I believe it helpful to take the monkey off our backs.

Missions are easy to change, adjust, mold. Not trying to cop-out here. Just consider that your purpose is filled with many missions. And many missions win the war.

So relax into your being and allow yourself to be, not in a frantic search for meaning. You have meaning, just enjoy it, live it and act on it.

Now that’s the key – acting on it. Rather than waiting to find our purpose. That is the real cop-out.

We have recently witnessed the demise of the Ghadafi regime and the man.

While many pray for peace and wish it to express, it seems that sometimes the only way to deal with evil is to eliminate it outright. Such is the nature of the physical world.

Regardless, it was announced that the new regime in Libya is a Muslim republic based on Sharia law.

We cannot always choose the direction or nature that change will take.

It can only be hoped that Libya will join the direction of civilization, which is evolutionary – even if uneven and ill conceived at times. But, this may not be the case.

Regardless, a potent expression of evil in the world is gone. We can pray that this void will be filed with divine progress and potential.

In the last issue of my Service Bulletin, the message is shared about the coming period from early Oct to mid-Nov. 2011.

What this means and how it will manifest is hard to say, except that is could be a period of upheaval.

Not that we haven’t been in one from a weather standpoint already.

A friend reminded me of the date Oct 2, 2011. It is one of the alternative dates to Dec 21, 2012. Meaning that some interpret the end date of the Mayan calendar cycle as ending then, rather than the traditional 2012 date.

Actually, it really doesn’t matter. We are going throught a period of change. The various dates along the way are only notations on a calendar. The important thing is the change in conscoiusness that occurs.

So, as Bette Davis said in the famous movie line: “Hold on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”

More and greater catastrophe predicted -only this time in the financial markets. I just read a financial report describing how financial collapse may be imminent.

Of course, all of this sensationalism sells. But it is also symptomatic of the changing times. Or should I say transformational times.

Change is gradual, with a progressive, natural evolution. Transformation is more dynamic, with upheaval leading to renewal a likely result.

The transformation of a planet is no casual or easy effort. Many changes are involved – some that rock our lives.

The important thing is to keep perspective. When you know what is going on, you can sit back and enjoy the ride – or at least accept it for what it is.

We are living in grand and glorious times. The goal is not comfort, but progress. The next age is a’commin.

Saw another show on History channel about 2012 and the possibility of drastic events.

Of course, these kinds of shows play on the sensational. It was Walter Cronkite who said something like, “It’s hard to report on how many cats didn’t get lost today.”

The media is inherently sensational. But with the emotion around 12/21/2012, you have to consider the possibility that we are creating some of these events.

After all our thoughts and feelings have energy that can bring things and events into manifestation. This subject is discussed in my new e-book: Your Karmic Footprint.

Whether you read it or not, be careful of peoples ability to “create” what is most feared. Fear is both fascinating and dangerous. As Malcolm Gladwell pointed out in “The Tipping Point” when something, such as a product or idea, reaches a critical point (which is well below the majority in numbers) it can become viral and many start to jump on board.

Let’s pray this does not happen to the world.

We just enjoyed another July 4th here in the USA. It raises the question of the place of nations in the world scheme, especially as a new world emerges.

The Aquarian Age is a revolution in consciousness. Yet, individual nations can have a wonderful role.

Image going to school and only having one class. We need a variety of subjects to achieve a level of competence to deal with life. (not that all schools are doing a great job of this)

But each country has something different to offer its citizens. The experience of a country is like taking one class – we get what it has to teach and then we move on to another. Not all people or cultures or groups are the same. Each has unique gifts, traits, consciousness and problems, too. It all depends what we need to learn.

There has been some talk of one world government. It may occur at some time, but I don’t think we are ready for it yet. The kind of leaders needed to pull this off do not appear often enough.

In the meantime, lets celebrate our differences and collaborate on areas of mutual interest.

And yes, right now the world needs a USA. It is a force for good, in spite of its flaws and problems. Just image a world without it.

So says certain self-proclaimed prophets.

And I must agree. We are witnessing incredible changes occurring. The financial meltdown is one, and it is forcing changes to the way the economy works.

The technological revolution is moving even more quickly. It was Arthur C. Clarke who said, , “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Just imagine how the world would look to those born near the start of the 1900′s.

I prefer a different end of the world perspective. More like, the end of the world as we know it.

If you are fully invested in your high school life, when you graduate (assuming you do these days) – then that world ends for you.

What is unusual is for major disruptions to civilization to occur, for we fell the instability and fragility of what humankind has created.

So, we remain on this roller coaster. And we know there is a new view and experience around the next corner. If we don’t fight it, it can be an enjoyable and fascinating ride. Otherwise, it is scary and uncertain.

Enjoy the ride as the Aquarian Age is birthed.

In a recent article, I wrote of the value of fairy tales to children. Since a child is extremely open, the ability to provide valuable information and moral teaching at a subconscious level is easy.

Fairy tales are an excellent way to do this. They are stories, they include pictures, they invoke feelings – all of the ways the subconscious is accessed. And most of these stories are teaching important lessons.

I’m reminded of the book by Bruno Bettelheim, “The Uses of Enchantment, The Meaning and Importance of Fairy Tales.” We used to give this book to parents upon the birth of a child.

This also gives clues to how, as an adult, you can work with your own subconscious – to make the changes you need and want to make. You know, revising some of the incorrect or outdated programming.

Believe it or not the flooding along the Mississippi River is a cleansing action.

Within the continental US, the Mississippi is like the spinal channels, with New Orleans representing the base chakra.

At the same time it is a devastation for those affected. My heart goes out to them.

It reminds us how fragile physical existence is. In the blink of an eye all that has been created can be undone.

It is only spirit that is eternal. It is the “rock” as referenced in the Bible. That which is spirit in each of us does not perish. It only takes on new transient forms.

The Aquarian Age will help people tie into their Soul. This connection and resulting awareness will help people feel secure in the midst of chaos. They will be able to know the eternal, thus gaining a much bigger perspective, and corresponding frame of reference.
